Manningham DISC is home to BTYC gymnastics, one of the countries largest and most prominent gymnastics clubs. Bulleen Templestowe Youth Club (BTYC) gymnastics was first formed in 1972, primarily as a physical education club for boys. The gymnastics club grew quickly and by 1974 catered for both boys and girls in makeshift facilities at Thompsons Road Hall Bulleen.
In 2000, Manningham City Council oversaw the construction of another purpose built gymnastic facility at Donvale. All gymnastic programs moved to the new facility part of what is now known as the Donvale Indoor Sports Centre (DISC), in March 2001.
In the eight years since moving to the DISC, participation in all programs has passed 2000 and continues to grow. The WG program is particularly well sought after with a waiting list of over 200 potential members. The club has always been well regarded in the gymnastics world with gymnasts represented in State and National teams, and with highly respected coaches and administrators.
You can contact BTYC through the BTYC website or by calling 9841 4773.
