Michele Rowse, Chief Executive Officer
Michele is a mum to
three rambunctious boys and grew up attending YMCA holiday programs and camps.
Seeing the powerful impact that the YMCA has on local communities has been the
driving force in Michele joining the YMCA Victoria Board in 2015 and then joining
YMCA Manningham in 2017.
Michele is a management
professional with extensive experience in the health, wellness, fitness, accommodation,
childcare, property and aquatics industries. With over 20 years’
experience, Michele has established leading customer centric programs,
workplace culture improvements, and program management offices. She has led
large-scale projects, directing both local and international teams to successful
outcomes, including rebrands and design redevelopment of global brands. Experience
on Boards both in the health and education industries has further established
Michele as a leader focused on community outcomes. Michele’s expertise extends
to strategic planning, communications, digital strategies, operations and
client services for a range of businesses.

of inspired young people” is a belief Michele lives every day and is excited
about how YMCA Manningham can continue to work with small children through to
the older generations to create a healthy, active and inspired Manningham
Damien Ear, Group Finance Manager
Damien has been employed with the YMCA since 1988 and was
the inaugural finance director for Aquarena. As a result of this consistency,
Damien's knowledge and assistance has ensured significant growth in the
financial systems necessary to control continuously diversifying business. With the recent growth and diversification by Manningham
YMCA into a range of other business activities.
Damien is very well
respected by both Manningham YMCA personnel and his fellow financial peers as a
caring and honest leader who is committed to the mission and values of the YMCA.
Married with two children, Damien enjoys a work environment that is centred on
community involvement rather than the harshness of the corporate financial
Brendan Hibbert, Stadiums Manager
Brendan has been with the YMCA since 1996 originally starting with independent associations YMCA Ballarat and Victoria before joining the Manningham YMCA in 2003. Brendan's experiences have crossed a broad range of areas including community camping, seasonal pool management, lifeguarding, youth development, children's services, outdoor education and corporate training. Brendan is currently the Stadiums Manager for the Manningham YMCA providing a wide range of sports and recreation programs and services to the community. Along with a Bachelor of Management (HRM & Marketing) and military training. Brendan brings a number of skills and life experiences to the Manningham YMCA that enable strong, strategic and responsive management of the organisation. Stadiums Management Team
